Mirror Lake State Park offers the best of all worlds—quick and easy access to the fun of Wisconsin Dells and Baraboo, diverse outdoor recreational opportunities and the quiet beauty of a natural setting and beautiful lake.
As you enter the 2,200-acre park, you are immediately transported to a tranquil landscape that contains three separate campgrounds with 155 sites, a lake with a public beach, miles of hiking or skiing trails and spectacular scenery.
The focus of this park is nature-based recreation. Mirror Lake, encompassing approximately 170 acres, is the centerpiece of the park. The lake serves as a popular and quiet swimming, canoeing, kayaking and fishing destination, as it is a no-wake lake. The lake, a dammed portion of Dell Creek, is bounded by steep sandstone cliffs lined with mixed oak-pine forest. Although Mirror Lake is shallow, depths in the old river channel can reach almost 20 feet. More than 20 miles of trail accommodate the hiker, biker and nature enthusiast in summer, and cross-country skiing and snow-shoeing in winter. Diverse wildlife inhabits the grasslands, pine and oak woods and wetland fringe of Mirror Lake.
While staying at Mirror Lake State Park, you might visit the adjoining 2,500-acre Dell Creek Wildlife Area that offers an even more remote wildlife experience and great trout fishing along its 10 miles of Dell Creek!
