The Mission of this collaborative effort is to promote low impact georegional nature-based experiential tourism that highlights the rich and unique natural and cultural heritage of the Ancient Glacial Lake Wisconsin. The Central Sands Region of Wisconsin is an international destination for nature lovers!
This website has been developed to demonstrate the natural and cultural treasures of this little known regional destination and to draw low-impact recreation visitors to the area. The Glacial Lake Wisconsin Partners (various non-profit organizations, convention and visitor bureaus, chambers of commerce) believe that tourism will contribute to the region’s renewed economic growth.
