Van Schaick Photo Gallery Museum
Located in the historic (1884) Van Schaick Building across from the theater in Black River Falls, this gallery survived the Flood of 1911. The museum features exhibits including: early American clothing, an extensive Jackson County photo collection for family research, a Ho-Chunk room of exclusive early Native American photos (many taken by Charles Van Schaick), classic cameras and early photo artifacts in a studio setting. Now available is the newly developed Music Research Library. The lower level houses our latest attraction, The Americana Music Room, with many one-of-a-kind music exhibits including: a variety of genres and songs from Jackson County and surrounding area, the recorded music history from the Edison cylinder to the current CD, and a display of Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame Music and memorabilia that is also on display at the Packer Fan Hall of Fame in Green Bay. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind music showcase experience.
