Winx Flowage
Many of the impoundments in Clark County are managed for waterfowl habitat. Sportsman’s Lake, north of Owen and the Winx Flowage near Neillsville provides many acres of waterfowl breeding, nesting and wood rearing habitat. A specific closed season to hunting has been established as posted within the Winx Flowage according to a Wisconsin Administrative Code, Natural Resources 11.05. As such no person may hunt migratory birds at any time in the posted area, whereas trapping is permitted.
