Ripsaw Saloon

Ripsaw Saloon at 1117 Railroad Avenue is the most recognized bar in Prentice and a classic Northwoods trail stop. It sits directly across the road from the local ATV and snowmobile trail access: you ride in, lean the machine against the post, eat a burger and ride back out.

The Friday fish fry is cooked in beef tallow rather than vegetable oil, the way Wisconsin bars did it for decades before the switch to cheaper oils, and the Old Fashioned is made Wisconsin-style with brandy. The menu is standard Northwoods bar food, with burgers, wings and a rotating weekend special, and the beer selection leans toward Wisconsin brands.
