Rustic Road 50

Adams County’s Rustic Road 50 was once part of Old State Road 21, and is still affectionately referred to as “Old State Road” by local residents. This scenic 4.6 miles is unpaved (dirt and gravel only) and winds through an area known as the Cottonville Marshlands.  It is located on Cottonville Avenue, traveling east to west from the towns of Richfield to Preston. Visitors will see remnants of several logging camps and hunting shacks, but few homes. They will also travel by wet forested areas, marshes, and  encounter plenty of local wildlife along the way!

There are two starting points:

Intersection of 8th Drive and Cottonville Road  (lat: 44.055188   long:  -89.747886)

Intersection of 4th Avenue and Cottonville Road  (lat: 44.058066   long: -89.658675)
