Stevens Point — Historic Murals
The Downtown Historic Murals depict people, places, and events of historic significance to Stevens Point. The Murals, painted by Greg Luedtke and Kelly Meredith, are expertly created to match the style of the era, including the buildings, clothes, and more. The faces are those of significant people in Stevens Point’s history, or current city residents who have given donations which have made the murals possible. Visitors can enjoy taking this leisurely tour of the city’s history in and among the buildings of downtown Stevens Point.
There are five murals to view:
- Market Square, circa 1910
- Most Influential Events – 150 years of Stevens Point’s history
- Stevens Point Ten Most Influential Citizens – 150 years of Stevens Point’s history
- The Old Post Office – recreates this marble building demolished in 1960s
- Rivermen – early logging days along the Wisconsin River
