K.A.S.H. Playground – Stevens Point
K.A.S.H. Playground
The K.A.S.H. (“Kids Are Special Here”) Playground started as a community project to build a universally accessible playground. Project organizers raised private funds to completely construct and maintain a public, wheelchair-accessible playground at Mead Park in Stevens Point. There are over 1,000 special needs children in Portage County who can freely enjoy this space.
The K.A.S.H. Playground puts safety and convenience first, but not at the expense of the fun! It was built over a poured rubber surface, which is smoother on wheels, more gentle on falls, and lasts longer than wood chips. The playground has equipment that provides fun for all ages and mobilities.
